History of SISBON
From the beginning of its operation that is January 1st 2008, SISBON was organized within the Banking Association of Slovenia. Due to the increasing volume of data, changes in legislation and complexity of managing its IT system, the banks decided in 2011 to establish an independent company that will manage the Slovenian database with information on debt of individuals. Data Exchange System on the indebtedness of individuals, that was established by banks and savings banks in line with the Banking Act (ZBan-1), was managed by Credit Bureau SISBON Ltd until December 31, 2015.
As of January 1, 2016 in line with the new Banking Act (ZBan-2) the Bank of Slovenia take over the Data Exchange System – SISBON. As of December 10, 2016 onwards, the Bank of Slovenia manages the SISBON system in accordance with the new Central Credit Registry Act (CCRA) within the Central Credit Register (CCR).
